The Testimony of Joan Gash

A FILLED & BLESSED LIFE

I was born into a Christian family, being the sixth of seven children. Jesus Christ came into my life at a very young age. While at a Vacation Bible School I asked forgiveness of my sin and asked Him to come into my heart. As I grew older I made a new commitment as a teen, understanding more of who Jesus is and His love for me.

I met my future husband, Paul Gash while attending college and we married at the age of 23. We loved God and attended church regularly, being very involved in all its activities. Four children came into our home during these years keeping us busy raising them. 

We Pressed in Closer to God Through a Very Trying Time

When Paul and I were almost forty we decided to enlarge our family. We were expecting another baby which we lost during the pregnancy. This affected us in a very serious way and through this we began to study the Bible more earnestly concerning the Holy Spirit. This study brought us to realize that the Holy Spirit was very important. We prayed and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues.

We began to attend church at the Potter’s House.
